Skilled Laborer is responsible for supporting production and service employees by performing a variety of tasks, to include supplying or holding materials or tools, running errands and cleaning work area and equipment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Clean and organize work areas so that inventory, tools, equipment and other items are available for
  • Assist with production set-up and
  • Perform pick-up and delivery of product and materials to customers and/or
  • Load and unload product and
  • Performs daily housekeeping and maintenance for facility, tools and
  • Handle materials using forklifts and overhead
  • Properly maintain and clean work area, tools and
  • Other tasks, duties and responsibilities as assigned by Shop Floor

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must occasionally lift and /or move up to 100 pounds, regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time position. Regular hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Additional hours may be required as needed.

TRAVEL

This position does not require travel.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED): or one to three months related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience.

ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS

• Current valid driver’s license, safe driving record and reliable mode of transportation.
