G.W. Becker, Inc. is a full service, single source, provider of choice for quality overhead crane products and solutions. Family owned since 1980, we have grown from a local overhead crane parts supplier to a recognized industry leader offering a full spectrum of overhead crane related products and services throughout North America.

Proud to be an Executive Member of the Crane Manufacturer’s Association of America, we design and manufacture custom overhead cranes, hoists and components to CMAA Specifications (Class “A” through “F”) or AIST Technical Report #6. We utilize our knowledgeable in-house team of mechanical, structural and electrical engineers to offer application assistance, custom design engineering and manufacturing of overhead crane products with our customers’ needs first and foremost.

Empowered with highly trained and qualified technicians, G.W. Becker, Inc. provides self-performing installations, inspections and field service repairs for all makes and models of overhead cranes; providing compliance with local regulations and ensuring a safe and productive material handling operation.

In 2007, we joined the MATERIAL HANDLING INDUSTRY OF AMERICA (MHI) which is the leading trade association representing the material handling and logistics industry. Members are material handling and logistics equipment, systems and software manufacturers; consultants; systems integrators and simulators; third party logistics providers and publishers representing the over $125 billion per year annual consumption of material handling and logistics equipment systems within the United States, as of 2005.

A number of our employees are members of AIST, which is the Association for Iron & Steel Technology.

The Mission for AIST is:

To advance the technical development, production, processing and application of iron and steel.

We are an Executive Member of CMAA, which is the CRANE MANUFACTURER’S ASSOCIATION OF AMERICA, Inc., an independent trade association affiliated with the United States Division of Material Handling Industry. This voluntary association representing industry leaders in the overhead crane market has existed since 1955. Member companies are concerned, conscientious manufacturers affiliated in an industry association to provide voluntary standards for the mechanical, structural and electrical design of overhead cranes, and to formulate guidelines for the proper use, operation and maintenance of those cranes.

As a founding member of the local Lawrence Mercer Manufacturers Coalition, we are dedicated to attracting, retaining, and upskilling the manufacturing workforce.

Our collaborative efforts focus on promoting the benefits of modern manufacturing careers and creating programs targeting youth, under-employed, and underrepresented populations.
