10 Ton Patented Track Overhead Crane (#18684)

Project Description:
G.W. Backer, Inc. commissioned a new, 10 ton, 3-motion heavy service electric overhead traveling patented track crane and runway system for a manufacturer of titanium based metal products in Ohio. This EOT crane was designed by G.W. Becker, Inc., working closely with the building structural engineer, to maximize lifting capacity and building allowances. The equipment included a Cleveland Trambeam patented track runway system: four (4) runs of Series 5200 Tarca Track, 14″ deep; each run 662′ long (2648′ total) and a Cleveland Tramrail, 10-ton capacity, under running double girder patented track bridge crane with an ACCO Work Rated 10 ton capacity, carrier mounted hoist. This turnkey project included removal of the existing crane and runway, providing four (4) new patented track runways, the new EOT crane, runway electrification, delivery, installation and commissioning.
