54 SEMI GANTRY CRANES (#18525)

Project Description:
G.W. Becker, Inc. commissioned fifty four (54) new 10 ton semi-gantry cranes for a railcar manufacturer in Alabama. These 3-motion, heavy service semi-gantry cranes were designed for indoor use with 45′ spans, 25′ of lift and operated by radio control. For ease of maintenance and accessibility, a utilized control panel was mounted on the gantry leg. An open design, without knee braces on the girder to leg connection, allowed for unobstructed product handling. These units were designed with interchangeable mechanical componentry resulting in reduced capital outlay of spare parts. This turnkey project included the new semi-gantry cranes, delivery, installation and commissioning. All units were manufactured, shipped and installed within a compressed delivery schedule.
