25/5 Ton Overhead Crane (#24422)

Project Description:
G.W. Becker, Inc. commissioned a new 25/5 ton electric overhead traveling crane for a manufacturer in Ohio.  This 5-motion moderate service EOT crane was designed to be installed on a new runway system of 56’ span and 25’ of lift.  Two trolley hoists were provided offering flexibility in capacity and hoist speeds. The travel drives were designed with infinitely variable control and offer state of the art precision handling for extremely smooth control and minimal maintenance.  The 8-Wheel bridge design offers lighter wheel loads.  The crane is operated by a handheld radio. An ergonomic 8-button pendant on C-Track along the bridge span was provided as backup.  This turnkey project included the new EOT crane, runway rail, electrical system and self-performing installation and commissioning to meet all current applicable CMAA, OSHA, ANSI/ASME, and NEC specifications.
