Project Description:
G.W. Becker, Inc. commissioned four (4) new 20 ton top-running double girder electric overhead traveling cranes for a crankshaft manufacturer in Western Pennsylvania which were required for an addition to the customer’s facility to increase throughput of product. These 3-motion moderate service EOT cranes were designed to be installed on a new runway system of 56’ span and 24’ of lift. A handheld radio control operates the crane with a radio/pendant transfer switch for pendant back-up capabilities. We worked closely with the building design engineering team for this turnkey project of the new EOT cranes, electrification and installation to meet all current applicable CMAA, OSHA, ANSI/ASME, and NEC specifications.
