Project Description:
G.W. Becker, Inc. commissioned one new 5 ton top-running single girder electric overhead traveling crane with electric wire rope hoist, 2 new runway rails and a runway electrification system for a plastics fabricator in Western Pennsylvania. This new crane is used to service the customer’s machines. This 3-motion, CMAA Class C Service crane was designed and manufactured by G.W. Becker, Inc. The runway has 2 new runs of 30# ASCE runway rail with rail splices, hardware and j-bolts. This turnkey project included application assistance, design, manufacturing and installation of the new cranes to meet all current applicable CMAA, OSHA, ANSI/ASME and NEC specifications.
