Project Description:
G.W. Becker, Inc. commissioned a 25 ton stamping press overhead crane, as part of a 3 crane order, for an automotive powertrain Tier 1 supplier in Wooster, Ohio. This new, 3-motion, top-running, double girder bridge crane with a ‘built-up’ trolley hoist and 117′ span was designed to be utilized in the customer’s indoor facility. The hoist design included flux vector control specifically designed for a hoist without a mechanical load brake. The travel drives were designed with infinitely variable control and offer state-of-the-art precision handling for extremely smooth control and for minimal maintenance. This turnkey project designed, manufactured and self-performing installation to meet all current applicable CMAA, OSHA, ANSI/ASME, and NEC specifications.
