Project Description
G.W. Becker, Inc. supplied and installed a multi-unit package of Gorbel free standing jib cranes to support expanded material handling operations at a customer facility. The project included seven jib cranes with capacities of 1 ton and 3 tons, each equipped with Gorbel electric chain hoists and push/pull trolleys. The systems were installed on customer-provided foundations and configured to support routine equipment handling, assembly tasks, and general maintenance needs throughout the plant.
Work performed by G.W. Becker, Inc. included transportation of equipment, structural installation, mechanical assembly, electrical integration using customer-supplied power feeds, start-up, commissioning, and final load testing. All cranes were installed and tested in compliance with CMAA, ANSI/ASME, OSHA, and NEC standards, ensuring safe, reliable operation for daily use.

Installation and Field Work
• Transportation of all crane components to Ohio

• Customer supplied and installed electrical disconnects and wiring to each jib crane
• GWBI provided man lift for elevated work
• Start-up and commissioning performed with adjustments as required
• Load testing performed by GWBI, including provision of test weights and load test certificates
• All work performed in accordance with GWBI Terms and Conditions for Field Work
