Overview
G.W. Becker, Inc. (GWBI) is looking to hire an Electrician who works in production on initial wiring and startup of overhead cranes.
Please note this position is in office only. Remote is unavailable.
Key Responsibilities
- Bend and install conduit. (Rigid, EMT, Etc.)
- Assemble wire harnesses from blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Assemble electrical panels, radios and junction boxes.
- Terminate wires for in house startup and testing.
- Troubleshoot machinery upon startup to ensure all components are functioning properly.
- Document all materials used to ensure inventory can be kept in good standing. Builds and maintains employer confidence by maintaining good response time, informing employer of problems and completing the job in a timely manner.
- Maintain professional presentation, timeliness, appearance and organization in all areas.
- Plans and performs jobs of installing and maintaining a variety of electrical equipment.
- Diagnoses electrical troubles and works from wiring diagrams
- Works independently, provides direction to less-experienced electricians and will train new electricians.

- Ability to read blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams.

- Excellent organizational, multitasking and prioritization skills while working under pressure.

Qualification
- Highschool diploma or equivalent
- Associate’s degree or certifications a plus
- three plus years’ experience a plus
- Strong background in AC and DC motor control systems.
- Experience performing industrial wiring and cable routing
- Ability to pass a Drug Screen
- Ability to pass a physical
- Ability to pass a background check
- Current valid driver’s license and safe driving record
Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must occasionally lift and /or move up to 100 pounds, regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
