Overview

G.W. Becker, Inc. (GWBI) is looking for a Quality Inspector who will be responsible for ensuring that fabricated and machined components meet all required specifications and quality standards. This role involves performing detailed inspections using precision measuring instruments, interpreting technical drawings, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-process and final inspections of fabricated and machined components.
  • Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, hardness testers and other inspection equipment.
  • Interpret and verify components against technical drawings, GD&T, and specifications.
  • Identify and document non-conformances and assist in root cause analysis.
  • Prepare and maintain inspection reports and quality records.
  • Perform visual inspections for weld quality, surface finish, and dimensional accuracy.
  • Assist in reverse engineering of components for engineering department.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve quality issues
  • Support internal and external audits as required.
  • Maintain a clean and organized inspection area in compliance with safety standards.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in quality inspection of fabricated and machined components.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical drawings, tolerances, and GD&T.
  • Understanding software and previous use of SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and GibbsCam a plus.
  • Proficient with a wide range of inspection tools and equipment.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality standards is an asset.

  • Ability to work independently, self-starter as well as part of a team.
