3 Ton Molten Metal Pouring Hoist (#22504)

Project Description:
G.W. Becker, Inc. commissioned one (1) new, 3 ton capacity molten metal pouring hoist for a foundry in Northeastern Ohio. The ACCO Work-Rated Hoist operates on an existing Cleveland Tramrail Tarca Track with a 3-1/4″ lower flange, 45 degree, 4′ radius ‘S’ curve. The hot metal hoist has a heat shield, high temperature oil in the gearbox, high temperature grease in the lower block, high temperature wiring, steel sheaves and a mechanical load brake. The 3/8″ diameter IWRC wire rope reeving is 2-part double with an 8:1 safety factor. The hoist lift is approximately 13′-7″ (based on a 17′-3″ monorail height), with 20′-0″ available. This turnkey project included the new hoist and installation to meet all current applicable CMAA, OSHA, ANSI/ASME and NEC specifications.
