TWIN 50 TON DREDGE BRIDGE AND LEG STRUCTURE (#24621)

Project Description:

G.W. Becker, Inc. commissioned new twin 50 ton capacity trolley hoists to collect aggregate at depths up to 200′ with 16 cubic yard buckets. The runway structure designed by GWBI is 50′ above the pontoon deck with an overall length of 180′ and 25′ long cantilevers on each end. This structure was designed and manufactured for severe service duty and includes a full wrap-around footwalk, split box girder design to facilitate shipping, trolley rail pad with adjustable clips and engineered girder tie backs. GWBI worked closely in conjunction with the dredge manufacturer and their nautical engineers to coordinate a seamless project. This turnkey project included the new twin hoists, runway structure, footwalk and installation to meet all current applicable CMAA, OSHA, ANSI/ASME and NEC specification.
