50/15 TON OVERHEAD CRANE (#24374)

Project Description:
G.W. Becker, Inc. completed the manufacturing of a new 50/15 ton electric overhead traveling double girder crane with dual hoists for a new power generation facility in Massachusetts.  This 5-motion heavy service EOT crane was designed to be installed on a new runway system of 105’ span and 60’ of lift.  Features of this overhead crane included; welded box girders with full length walkway on G1 girder, access platform for trolleys with crossover platform from G1 to the G2 girder, crane LED lights, outdoor epoxy paint with SP6 preparation, stand-by heaters on motors for all motions, IP55 control enclosures, bridge and trolley “slow down & stop” travel limit switches and a sister hook supplied on the 50 ton main hoist. This project included the new EOT crane, runway electrical system, runway rail and runway end stops to meet all current applicable CMAA, OSHA, ANSI/ASME, and NEC specifications.
