40/20 Ton Overhead Crane (#21072)

Project Description:
G.W. Becker, Inc. commissioned a new 40/20 ton electric overhead traveling crane for a manufacturer near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  This 5-motion heavy service EOT crane was designed to be installed on a new runway system of 58’-6” span and 34’ of lift.  The travel drives and hoists were designed with infinitely variable control and offer state of the art precision handling for extremely smooth control and minimal maintenance.  The crane is operated by a handheld 5-motion, 2-step radio control system with A/B/Both selector switch as primary.  This turnkey project included the new EOT crane, electrical system and self-performing installation and commissioning to meet all current applicable CMAA, OSHA, ANSI/ASME, and NEC specifications.
